About All Hands

Our church elders are encouraging an “all hands on deck” approach to our time together on Sunday mornings. As a 200+ member church, there are many tasks to facilitate worship, welcome, and ministry to our kids! If you’re a member of Safe Harbor and have committed to serving one another, we think a great way to do that is to have every member assigned to a service team on Sunday morning. This will not only assist in the practical challenges of Sunday morning, but it’s good for our hearts. We want you to serve each other and be excited about that opportunity! Think of these important verses from 1 Peter 4:8-11:

Above all, keep loving one another earnestly, since love covers a multitude of sins. Show hospitality to one another without grumbling. As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God's varied grace: whoever speaks, as one who speaks oracles of God; whoever serves, as one who serves by the strength that God supplies—in order that in everything God may be glorified through Jesus Christ. To him belong glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen.

Here’s how this will work: if you are already assigned to a team (greeting, children’s worship, sound, livestreaming, etc.), there is nothing you need to do. If you are not yet assigned to a team, let us know what you’d prefer and how often you’re able to serve. Depending on the team, you could be serving once every few weeks, or once every few months - the schedule is up to you!
